East Coast Interview #1

So I had my first of hopefully many interviews with Capital Group this last Friday. It seemed to be a typical first interview. Why do you want to work for us? What experience do you bring to the table? What would you consider one of your strenghts? What would you say needs to develop? Are you willing to move to Virginia? I would say that it went rather well. It was a pretty relaxed interview and she said that the process will be somewhat lengthy. If I made the grade on the first round, there will be a second phone interview with the guy that (I imagine) would be my manager. I'm supposed to know more about that later this week. If that one goes well, I will be invited out to Norfolk to see the facility and meet some of the people etc. I am sure that there will be a face to face interview at that point. After all that, assuming I still want the job and they are still interested in me, there will be various background checks and references that will need to be checked. Kristin (the first interviewer) said that if everything goes my way that I should know around the end of the month if they are going to extend and offer to me. At that point I will have about 4 weeks to pack my stuff and start work. This is all very exciting to me. I am trying my best to keep a nice balance between optimism and realism. I'll keep you updated as things progress.
